Burbank Airport Noise – Action Notice

Recent FAA changes to Hollywood Burbank Airport flight paths have resulted in drastic noise, health and safety impacts to neighborhoods, schools and businesses in the Valley.  These changes were implemented with no notice to affected residents and no environmental review. What’s more, the FAA wants to make them permanent

We call upon the FAA to immediately undertake a comprehensive environmental impact study with ample opportunity for stakeholder input.  All impacts to our communities must be studied and publicly addressed before any new flight routes are made permanent.

On its own website, the FAA states that as it “carries out its mission to provide the safest, most efficient aerospace system in the world, we are accountable to the American public.” The FAA further states it is “committed to inform and involve the public, engage with communities and give meaningful consideration to community concerns and views as we make aviation decisions that affect them.”

We demand accountability. We demand answers. We demand a thorough environmental review process.

If you are living with the daily impacts of these changes, here’s what you can do to MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD!

 1. Attend an upcoming FAA workshop

The FAA has scheduled two workshops at which stakeholders will have a chance to learn about the proposed changes and speak to FAA subject matter experts. The workshops will take place on November 7th and 8th at Pickwick Gardens Conference Center in an open-house format between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Attendees may submit comments at the workshops.
